Action Plan for Construction Cluster of Crete, Greece

The region of Crete faces some special problems that may hinder the construction sector growth. The high costs of merchandise transport as well as deficiencies in the basic infrastructure increase the cost of construction. In addition, the fragmented enterprising activity and the small scale economies characterized by lack of a coordination plan, in the interior and abroad, constitute drawbacks in the construction sector’s development as well. Furthermore, the small size of construction enterprises decreases their investment potential. In addition, the limited collaboration between the regional research institutions and the construction enterprises leads to limited knowledge dissemination. see the whole article: Action Plan for Construction Cluster of Crete, Greece
